The feedback I received for my billboard and web banner:

M3 - Explain how the required codes and conventions have been met when creating your media advertising components
Codes and Conventions
My billboard shows a fair amount of information and it also shows the product, these are conventions that are commonly used in billboards for this type of product. This makes it stand out as the colours are fairly bright and eye catching, also the use of a picture of a person from the viral advert links them all together.
My web banner is very simple, it is just the logo and then a black background, this, makes the logo stand out. On many of the web banners I looked at they were very simple with a tagline, this is used throughout my advertisements.
My internet viral advert is filmed portrait as to make it fit a phone screen, this is used through many other viral adverts shown on snapchat or instagram. It also features a current, upbeat instrumental in the background which keeps the video lighthearted and fun. Through the advert I show the product in use and the problems that can be solved by using it, this is commonly used throughout video adverts for men’s grooming products. There is also a voice over at the end reading the tagline, a voiceover is common in other products. However, I feel that I missed the terms and conditions which are a key part of audio - visual adverts.
Overall I believe my advertisements reach the codes and conventions of men’s grooming advertisements. By following these codes and conventions I believe my advertisements look more realistic and would attract a wider audience.

How my Advertisement Matches the Client Brief
For my campaign I created a billboard, an online viral audio visual advert and a web banner; these are what the brief asked for. My marketing appeals to the target audience as I used actors from that age range and used current music that is popular with the target audience. I used a sleek black box as packaging in my advertisement and also advertised the flavour on my billboard. These aspects helped make my advertisements appeal to the target audience more.
However I do not believe I pushed the flavour enough in my web banner or video advert, also I did not display all the different information given about the product on the brief. Finally I also didn’t show on my adverts the intention of a male makeup range which the brief asked me to do. Although overall I believe I created a good advert which represented the product well even if I did miss some information out.

Evaluation
Overall I believe my campaign turned out well although I did change a few things from my planning. For example my Audio Visual Viral advert changed from using a mirror to using a phone. This was a lot easier to film and appealed to a more modern audience which the target group is. It was also filmed portrait instead of landscape to fit where the viewers would be seeing the advert (Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook). This would overall make the advert easier to view on tablets and phone screens and make it more relatable to the target audience. To improve I believe I should make the music fade out more and maybe show the product for longer.
I kept my Billboard and web banner Idea the same as I believe they work well. However to improve them I believe I should add a gif to the web banner and maybe more icons or hyperlinks to it to make it more useable. I believe these pieces don’t necessarily appeal to the target audience which is good as they appeal to all age groups and gender, however I could maybe add more things that would appeal to the target audience.
