Mcdonalds Dead Dad Advert
This advert shows a boy finding he is nothing like deceased father until he buys a Fillet o Fish at Mcdonalds and his Mum tells him that that was his Dad’s favourite as well. This advert was pulled after it received huge backlash from more than 150 people and was deemed insensitive to grieving children.
Iceland - Rang Tang advert
This animated advertisement by Iceland shows an orangutan swinging around a child's room with a poem in the background, it then shows deforestation. It is meant to show the problems Palm Oil causes and that we should use it less. They say they have removed it from their own products. This was banned by clearcast due to it being too distressing for younger viewers and too political for a Christmas advert.
